Business is personal in our family
Hannah’s mother grew up in Northeast China, the middle of three children in a family with little money and no connections. After college, she did something unusual for the time. She moved to Fiji, where she spent five years in the garment industry, starting out in shared worker housing, learning the business from the ground up, and rising to run an entire factory.
She returned home, spent two years raising Hannah, and then founded an apparel export company, with Hannah’s father beside her. For the next eighteen years they ran it together, building one of the leading textile agencies in Northeast China and earning the lasting trust of customers across the United States, Canada, and Europe. They eventually retired to Florida.
What Hannah took from watching her mother is simple. In business, trust and reputation are the assets that matter most, and they are earned one kept promise at a time.
